The #MotoE is back on track at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo (Valencia) for three days of testing that will end with a race simulation on Wednesday afternoon. Seventeen riders entered the track riding the Energica Ego with which they will fight at the Sachsenring circuit, in Germany (5/7 July), for the first round of the 2019 MotoE season.
In the morning session, mainly used to regain confidence with the bikes, Alex De Angelis finished in fifth place, 5 tenths of a second behind Granado’s best time, while Josh Hook completed 11 laps without taking useless risks – on a completely new circuit for him – and finished in 17th position.
In the afternoon session Alex De Angelis finished seventh after working hard on the set up while Josh Hook tried to push but crashed in the third sector when he was improving his laptime.
Tomorrow riders will get back on track for the morning free practice while in the afternoon they will be involved in a qualifying simulation.

P7 – Alex De Angelis
“I’m satisfied with the way things went on this first day of testing. Especially in the afternoon we worked hard on the bike and I think we are on the right direction. If I have to be honest I’m having a lot of fun riding the Energica Ego, especially in the areas of the circuit with lots of corners where you can feel the power in acceleration”.

P16 – Josh Hook
“For the first time I am lapping on this circuit and that’s why in the morning session I tried to understand the circuit well. Things were going very well in the afternoon but unfortunately I crashed. We will have to analyse the data to see why I crashed as I didn’t get any warning. I am convinced that we can do well tomorrow”.
