The second round of the 2019 #MotoE season ends with an excellent result for Octo Pramac MotoE thanks to Alex De Angelis’ fourth place and Josh Hook’s great comeback.
Alex starts very well from the third row and at the end of the first lap is already in fourth position. On lap 2 the Italian makes a mistake at turn 3 but is good at staying close to the front group then passing in fourth position under the checkered flag.
Josh Hook makes an exciting comeback, starting from 14th position, and manages to recover five positions on the first lap. The Australian rider’s pace is incisive and allows him to finish in 7th position.
In the #MotoE standings Alex climbs to 5th place (23 points) while Josh (11th, 10 points) is only one point from the Top 10.
P4 – Alex De Angelis
It’s not easy to race in the wet and it was important to get valuable points. Maybe there is a bit of regret for not being able to get the podium but we have made progress and for this I thank the team for the great work done over the weekend.
P7 – Josh Hook
It was a good race. Unfortunately in qualifying we were not incisive and starting from 14th position was not easy but I still managed to recover many positions. I will have to work on the feeling with the bike but the direction is the right one.
