Francesco Bagnaia will start tomorrow from the second row after the best qualifying of his season. Jack finishes 8th and will be on the third row of the #AustrianGP grid tomorrow.
These are the high lights of a Saturday that gave very positive indications to Pramac Racing.
In FP3 Pecco didn’t manage to win the direct qualification to Q2 but since FP4 the feeling with his Ducati Desmosedici GP has grown considerably. Bagnaia pushes hard in Q1 and wins one of the two places available. In the second run of the Q2, he entered the track with the medium rear tyre and set a fabulous chrono (1’23.652), which allowed him to take P5.
Jack easily conquers the direct qualification to Q2 and in the Fp4 his pace is very incisive. In the afternoon all-important Q2 session, Australian pushed hard but in the second run he could not find the ideal conditions to take that small step forward that would have allowed him to gain some positions. Miller finished in 8th place, 19 thousandths of a second from the second row.

P5 – Pecco Bagnaia
We made a big step forward in Brno test and we have worked well since yesterday on a circuit very suitable for our bike. This may have been the key that allowed us to find a good feeling, especially on the front. In Q2 we played our cards well by going with the medium tyre in the second run.

P8 – Jack Miller
If I’m being honest, I’m a little disappointed about this qualifying. We worked very well in the FP4 and the race pace was very good. Unfortunately I couldn’t use the hard tyre at the front in qualifying. We are still very close to the front and I think we can be very competitive tomorrow.
