Alex De Angelis powers away a great start and engages in a nice duel first with Ferrari and then with Simeon. On lap 2 the battle with the Spanish rider is exciting. The Sanmarinese (P8 in the MotoE standings) pushes to the maximum but on lap 3 he loses the rear and crashes after a high side.
Josh Hook’s start is not perfect but the Australian is good at staying with the Top 10 group. Hook finishes in Top 10 taking 6 precious points for his classification (P11).
DNF – Alex De Angelis
It’s a shame. After a great start, the race pace in the first two laps was excellent. The battle with the podium group was “intense”. Then unfortunately I lost the rear and crashed. We’ll try again tomorrow.
P10 – Josh Hook
We worked a lot on the set up to get a good feeling and in the end we managed to improve. The start today was not good but I’m sure we can have a better race tomorrow.
