#MalaysianGP FP. Positive start at Sepang weekend for Pramac Racing: Jack P8 and Pecco P11 (just 25 milliseconds from the Top 10)

The first day of activity at Sepang ends with very positive feelings for the two Pramac Racing riders. Jack Miller easily conquers the Top 10 as Francesco Bagnaia is the protagonist of a convincing progression finishing just 25 thousandths of a second from the Top 10.

FP1 (Practice Conditions: DRY. Air 31°, Ground 43°)

P10 Jack Miller – 1’59.996 (+0.969 from P1)

Jack Miller ends the FP1 in Top 10 with a very good top speed (326.2 km/h, lower only than Dovizioso’s 327.2 km/h) but he encounters some difficulties in the T2.

P15 Francesco Bagnaia 2’01.000 (+1.004 from Top 10, +1.973 from P1)

In the time attack of the second run, Pecco pushes very hard. He is in Top10 after the first two sectors, then a small mistake in the T3 does not allow him to improve his chrono.

FP2 (Practice conditions: DRY. Air 35°, Ground 47°)

P5 Jack Miller – 1’59.593 (+1.017 from P1)

The sensations are positive and Jack manages to be incisive even in T2 by lowering his FP1 lap time by more than 4 tenths of a second.

P8 Francesco Bagnaia – 1’59.774 (+1.198 from P1)

Pecco’s feeling imropoves lap by lap. The Italian rider finishes eighth a convincing FP2 but is unable to get the Top 10 in the combined standings by just 25 thousandths of a second.

P11 – Pecco Bagnaia

It’s a positive result even though I couldn’t get into the Top 10 for a few thousandths of a second. I hope that tomorrow morning the weather is good to try to qualify directly to Q2. We still have a few problems to solve with the rear grip but the feeling is positive.

P8 – Jack Miller

I’m satisfied with the way things have turned out today. The bike is very different from the one we used in the winter tests but the feeling has been positive since the morning. I would like to thank the team for doing a good job. Let’s see how the weather will be tomorrow but we have great confidence.
