In FP2, after a harmless crash, the Martinator lowered his lap times by more than 2 seconds, marking his best lap at a time of 1:59.939 and therefore securing third place.
Johann struggled to find the right confidence with the rear, and a badly strategized move during FP2 has cost him a place in the current hypothetical Q2.
He finished in fourteenth place, with a time of 2:00.810.
