Americas GP – Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco ended both in top ten after the first day of practice

After a year’s absence it’s back to racing in Austin at the Circuit of the Americas.
The first day of free practice ended with the riders Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco finished respectively seventh and eighth in the combined standings.
FP1 opened under the wet asphalt of the American circuit, while fp2 will take place on a completely dry asphalt.
Jorge Martin tackles this track for the first time with his Desmosedici in wet conditions, finishing the FP1 in nineteenth place with a time of 2:18.832.
In FP2 the Spanish rider improves his feeling and finishes with the seventh best time (2:04.663).
It was a positive first day of free practice for the frenchman, who only last eednesday underwent surgery on his right arm for compartment syndrome.
He set the third fastest time in FP1 (2:16.471) and with the time of 2:04.663 he made the P8 at the end of the day.

Today was a positive day,
I am satisfied with the work we have done.
This morning in the wet condition I struggled a lot but in the afternoon session we improved a lot and I have good feelings.

Johann Zarco

Really satisfied with this first day.
This morning in the wet I went very well and my arm didn’t hurt.
I struggled a little bit more in the afternoon but we finished in the top ten and I am very satisfied.
